Happy new year everyone. Congratulations to all of us, we survived probably one of the most eventful years of our lifetime (at least in my memory anyway).

New years resolution

Like many people I have a bunch of new years resolutions that I could make, fix this, learn that, do something new etc etc, but to be honest I think that is daft. None of us know what is around the corner so why promise that we probably won't be able to keep. Instead I am simply going to promise to keep doing my best at everything I attempt to do and care for the people I love and leave the rest in the hands of a higher power.

Welcome the new year, lets go sailing

Finally to welcome in the new year I would like to take this opportunity to suggest you try out something I personally love doing. Sailing.

For me nothing compares to sailing. It is both relaxing and exhilarating. It gives me a sense of freedom to set sail and let the wind do the work. I often dream of just sailing away and leaving all the stress behind.

So if like me you find yourself always plugged-in, stressed, overworked and always inside. Take a break, get out on the waves and remember that there is a whole world out there and more to life than writing code.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover - Mark Twain
